Poem-When I Was Young

When I was young I climbed trees, now I climb the ladder.
When I was young I was told, there’d be no glass barriers.
When I was young I would run, now the rats are all that matter.
When I was young I would dream, now they’ve faded out for plans.
When I was young I believed adulthood would be grand!
When I grew up I finally realized I missed what I had had.
